Comedy Special | Tommy Chong | Living room
REtro Living room
The theme of the show was a conversation with Tommy Chong.
The walls
The space consisted of a Green Vive, the walls were painted green and they included psychedelic imagery throughout the space, much of the artwork hanging on the wall featured trees.
The Furniture
Earth tone leather couches with wood legs grounded the space and made it more intimate.
Stand up Comedy | Big foo tour | Campsite
Felipe Esparza
Big Foo Tour, Felipe Esparza plays in his very own campsite. Complete with a canvas tent and a flickering fire, this picturesque set takes its cues from Wes Anderson films.
the Forest
The trees consist of six different sections, four individual trees of various sizes and two sections with rows of trees.
Camp fire
The flames are EVA foam, and the smoke is created by wrapping cotton on a curved wire. The lights have different patterns giving the flame illusion. To finish the look, five faux wood logs.
Stand up Comedy | America’s Favorite husband | Man Cave
Steve TreviÑo
America’s Favorite Husband Tour. On this project the idea was to convey that Steve, (the favorite husband) would also have his very own space to unwind.
The man Cave
In his very own domain, we see items that would be very reminiscent of any great man cave; the giant flat screen tv, with sports playing , cool beer and art posters, LED signs that make the space cozy, a fully stocked bar, memorabilia, and of course who can forget a man cave staple, the dartboard.
From concept to the stage
DESERT DAZE | GLOBAL INHERITANCE | 1960 RECORD STORE
1960’s Record Store
The activation was called Meat the Beetles. It was a five course tasting menu restaurant that incorporated edible insects. My task was to theme the restaurant after a 1960’s record store.
For three days, many of the 10,000 Desert Daze attendees passed by and experienced this one of a kind record store
Record store Counter
This 4’ x 3’ counter was made of wood, stained and weathered; posters were added to complete the record store vibe.
Vinyl Record wall
On the adjacent wall, a record curtain was placed, these are 10” records connected by O-rings that fit like a puzzle.
Album wall art
The wall consisted of five by five album covers, double sided gator clips were used to connect all of them together.
Props
To complete the space an area rug was used; paired with a vintage recliner, milk crates full of records so the guests could play them on the record player.
FOOD TRUCK FIESTA | SOBOBA CASINO | GOOD BURGER PHOTO OP
Good Burger
This activation was a Good Burger themed photo op, the space was so realistic that the festival attendees kept thinking they could order food. Ed really brought the space to life.
shake machine
You could walk into the shake machine and take a picture, the lid would open and close for added effect.
Backdrop
The backdrop was designed to look like the Good Burger restaurant, complete with menu board full of easter eggs.
Props
Cups, Burger wrappers & Tray covers were all branded with the logo, to add to the fun slime stickers that were placed all around the space.
